City Of Sydney Deputy Lord Mayor, Clr Robyn Kemmis (BAHons UNE, MA Essex, HonDUniv UTS). Previously the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), Robyn has held a number of senior management positions within the NSW public service. Robyn is committed to enhancing the City’s long-term sustainability – environmentally, physically and financially. Robyn has a particular interest in community building, in Council’s work to support the local economy, to assist business in the City and in its village high streets, and in programs that support young people and kids. Robyn has a long-standing interest in equal opportunity and is committed to engaging community members in local government matters and decisions that affect their lives.

The Deputy Lord Mayor will speak about the important role that cities, and the people who live in our cities, have to play in combatting climate change – focussing specifically on the work of the City of Sydney.
Working towards a sustainable future is a crucial element the Sustainable Sydney 2030 vision. The City of Sydney has adopted ambitious targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and aims to manage water, energy and waste sustainably.
