Matt Grudnoff is a Senior Economist at The Australia Institute. Matt studied at the University of Newcastle. He taught economics at the University for many years before moving to Canberra to work for the Australian Bureau of Statistics. He has also worked for the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency. His research interests are in climate change policy and the impact of the mining boom on the economy. He also teaches economics with a focus on helping people engage in public debate.
Matt Grudnoff will talk on the policy and politics of renewable energy including the big political obstacles as well as the big political opportunities. He will also discuss the changing economics of solar and what that might spur a new wave of solar installation.
Matt is the lead facilitator for the People, Power, Democracy Workshop. He will support participants to consider existing and explore new models for a Renewable energy future.
